Arike Ogunbowale

Arike has been a American professional athlete who plays for the Dallas Wings Women's National Basketball Association. She played for Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the college level before being selected as the 5th overall pick by the Wings during the 2019 WNBA draft. Arike Ogunbowale was born the 2nd March, 1997 in Milwaukee Wisconsin to parents Yolanda and Gregory Ogunbowale. There are two brothers: Mario (26 and 26 years older) and Dare Ogunbowale (20 years old). As the youngest of her siblings, her parents treated her to the most exemplary treatment. Arike was a graduate of Divine Savior Holy Angels High School in her home town. She participated in three games of the varsity league while she studied there. Ogunbowale, with her extraordinary capabilities and skills, helped lead her team to incredible victory several times. Her high school career included 73 games with 1,477 career points and 739 career rebounds. Ogunbowale managed to take home gold in 2013 the FIBA Americas U16 Championships as well as 2014 FIBA U17 World Championships. She was named to the 7th July roster of 2014 and was also named to the 2014 USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team. Ogunbowale is also part of the ACC All-Freshman Team, after her debut season at a college. Ogunbowale was also congratulated by the Kobe Bryant after she hit several big shots at the NCCA Tournament. Ogunbowale's basketball career has gotten starting off well and she is expected to continue on the same path.
