As a character on the Guiding Light soap opera, Dollar appeared as Marina Cooper. This role brought her an award nomination from Soap Opera Digest in 2003 for Outstanding Newcomer. Dollar appeared as Cindy Thomas in the ABC series Women's Murder Club from 2007-2008. She starred as Happy Valley in the 2012 NBC pilot, but it was not picked up.
