Taylor Joy also has 4 siblings, one in each parent's previous marriages. They moved with the family from Buenos Aires to Victoria, London as Taylor-Joy reached the age of six. Taylor-Joy acknowledged that the move had been difficult and that she was unable to study English as she wanted to go back to Argentina. Hill House had to be her new school when she changed schools from Northlands. Then she went to Queen's Gate School, where she took dance classes and was a part in plays. She quit high school at 16 in order to concentrate on her acting profession. Taylor-Joy's desire to become an actor of professional caliber started at a young age.
