O'Neil She was still in high school times at the time of the auditions, tried out for Canadian Idol's 3rd season in the beginning of 2005. The contestant was able to climb into the top 100 courtesy of the enthusiasm shown by judges about the performance. O'Neil was promptly congratulated by Canadian PM Paul Martin for winning Canadian Idol.
