I found music a very unfeminine space to be in and embracing this kind of femininity has been an exciting challenge for me. For me, it was extremely difficult to admit, "Okay I can be strong, feminine and soft. You should take care of yourself and don't diminish yourself." I've loved it quite a bit, I've been enjoying wearing heels and dresses every day and having these lovely curls and soft fabrics. My experience as an actress is much more recent that everyone else Fantastic Beasts] and there was a lot of pressure to be a part of it. It was a bit strange. I felt like a force was pushing me to the top of the hill. There was a chance for me be crushed or crumble due to the way I longed for this role, and the size of it. You could spend the whole day walking around taking in coffee shops, museums and parks. In LA you are often isolated, but in London you are able to take the Tube and you are at the center of the crowd as well as every other type of human you could imagine is going on. I am a fan of watching individuals. I'm from the music world, that is where you're always in the presence of males, and you're sure that you're in really intimate situations almost every minute working with males. It's an amazing real-life dream for me. I've read every one of the books. It was a pleasure to have the ability to read the books while on tour. You're constantly changing cities and that can make it hard to concentrate. To be able to disappear into such an intense immersive, vibrant universe from your own bed is amazing.
